 “Musone”, così veniva soprannominata la 1100E prodotta dal 1939 al 1953, declinata in varie serie e molteplici aggiornamenti, per via di quel muso prominente che la differenziava alla progenitrice 508. L’esemplare in oggetto è uno degli ultimi, di colore grigio con interni grigi abbinati, immatricolato il 28 Gennaio 1953 con l’attuale targa Bergamo, trascorrendo una vita da tranquilla berlina nella stessa famiglia fino al 2012 quando passò nelle mani dell’attuale proprietario, il quale ne ha fatto una divertente interpretazione ispirata alle competizioni dell’epoca, per prendere parte alla 1000 Miglia.

 

Con una meticolosa preparazione meccanica, volta all’impiego sportivo, l’auto ha preso parte a tre edizioni della 1000 Miglia (2013, 2014, 2017) oltre ad un Gran Premio Nuvolari nel 2014. La preparazione ha riguardato una generale equilibratura dei componenti, un albero a cammes leggermente profilato ed uno scarico più aperto, seguito da freni ottimizzati e cambio revisionato. 

La carrozzeria è stata integralmente restaurata, separando il telaio e risanando completamente tutte le parti ammalorate, prima di riverniciare completamente l’auto e rimontarla. 

 

Attualmente sono stati tolti i paraurti, conservati a parte, è stato montato un faro di profondità centrale così come sono stati protetti i fari con le griglie para sassi. 

L’abitacolo è stato ottimizzato per un migliore confort di guida, installando vari strumenti supplementari, montando un volante sportivo (l’originale è conservato a parte) e profilando i sedili originali per un miglior contenimento laterale. 

Vettura dotata di certificato ASI, FIVA e ACI-CSAI, pronta per essere nuovamente impiegata in manifestazioni sportive, tra cui la 1000 Miglia, dove ha una quasi sicura ammissione data la rarità degli esemplari disponibili.

“Musone”, was the italian nickname of the 1100E produced from 1939 to 1953, available in various series and multiple updates, due to that prominent nose that differentiated it from its progenitor 508. This example is one of the last produced, in gray with matching gray fabric interior, registered on 28 January 1953 with the current Bergamo license plate, spending a life as a quiet sedan in the same family until 2012 when it passed into the hands of the current owner, who made a sporty interpretation inspired by the period competitions, to attend the 1000 Miglia.

 

With meticulous mechanical preparation, aimed at sporting use, the car took part in three editions of the 1000 Miglia (2013, 2014, 2017) as well as a Gran Premio Nuvolari in 2014. The preparation involved a general balancing of the components, a slightly profiled camshaft and a more open exhaust, followed by optimized brakes and an overhauled gearbox.

The bodywork was completely restored, separating the chassis and completely restoring all the damaged parts, before completely repainting the car and reassembling it.

 

Currently the bumpers have been removed (consigned with the car), a central spotlight has been fitted and the headlights have been protected with stone guards.

The cabin has been optimized for better driving comfort, installing various additional instruments, fitting a sports steering wheel (the original is consigned with the car) and profiling the original seats for better lateral support.

Car equipped with ASI, FIVA and ACI-CSAI certificates, ready to be used again in sport events, including the 1000 Miglia, where it has an almost certain admission, thanks to the rarity of these examples available.
