 Raro esemplare di Rolls-Royce Two Doors Saloon, meglio nota come Corniche Coupè, venduta nuova in Italia dalla concessionaria "Rolma" di Milano il 4 Agosto del 1972 al primo proprietario, nella combinazione cromatica Sand Metal con interni in pelle neri.

 

L'auto è sempre stata utilizzata e custodita con grande cura, come si addice ad un'auto del genere, da tutti i suoi tre precedenti proprietari. L'attuale ha acquistato l'auto una decina d'anni fa, continuando a svolgere svariati lavori di manutenzione tra cui, ultimamente, la revisione totale della trasmissione.

Molto ben conservata, questa Corniche viene consegnata con tutta la documentazione di primo equipaggiamento, tra cui targhe e libretto originali, la scheda di garanzia, il libro tagliandi, l'uso e manutenzione ed il porta-documenti originale. L'auto è anche stata omologata ASI nel 2012.

Completano la dotazione di bordo la borsa attrezzi completa, il cric, il telo copriauto, le doppie chiavi e l'impianto Stereo8 funzionante.

Era il modello al top della gamma Rolls-Royce: la versione a due porte costituisce oggi uno dei modelli più apprezzati sia per l'esiguo numero di esemplari costruiti che per la piacevolezza d'uso; rispetto alle berline a quattro porte, questa vettura è estremamente più ricercata e raffinata. Nel 1972, per portarsi a casa quest'auto era necessario sborsare 28.200.000 Lire, ben due milioni in più della Silver Shadow; all'epoca un Maggiolino costava 1.140.000 Lire e una 911 2.4S coupè costava 5.750.000 Lire.

Vetri, sedili, antenna elettrica, aria condizionata sono solo alcuni degli accorgimenti per i passeggeri che sedevano a bordo; la Corniche coupè ha un'accuratezza costruttiva ineguagliabile a qualsiasi altra vettura, che ancora oggi la rende un'oggetto unico - piacevole da guidare -: un pezzo non può mancare nel garage di un collezionista.

Rare sample of Rolls-Royce Two Doors Saloon, better known as Corniche Coupè, sold new in Italy by the official dealer Rolma in Milan, the 4th August 1972 to its first owner in the color combination Sand Metal over black leather interior. 

 

This car was driven and preserved with care, by all its three previous owners. The last one bought it 10 years ago and did the periodic maintenance; the last work done is the complete overhaul of the transmission. This Corniche coupè is wonderfully preserved, complete of its first equipment as the license plates, the warranty card, the service book, the user's guide and the original pocket. This sample received the ASI Homologation in 2012.

Into the trunk we find the complete toolbag with jack and the car cover. The car comes with double keys and Stereo8 system, perfectly working.

This was the most expensive model of the Rolls Royce production, at the time: the Two Doors Saloon is now one of the most appreciated models, because of the few samples produced and thanks to its ease of use. Compared to the 4 doors, this model is much more refined and sophisticated. 

The price of this model in 1972 was 28.200.000 Lire, 2 millions more than the Silver Shadow; at the same time, a VW Beetle costed 1.140.000 Lire and a Porsche 911 2.4S coupè was 5.750.000 Lire.

Power-lifted windows, electric seats and aerial, air conditioning are just some of the options of this car, thought for the maximum comfort of driver and passengers. The incomparable constructive quality complete contribute to make the Corniche coupè as one of the collectable artworks that cannot miss a classic car collection.
