 E' raro trovare vetture del genere in Italia: si tratta di una Volvo 1800 ES del 1972 venduta nello stesso anno alla prima proprietaria di Roma, città in cui è rimasta fino al 2007 con pochi passaggi di proprietà (il penultimo per oltre 20 anni e l'ultimo per 11).

Questo modello, prodotto per soli 2 anni ed importata in Italia solo tramite il mercato parallelo (l'importatore nazionale Volvo avrebbe aperto l'attività solo qualche anno più tardi) venne ordinato nell'elegante combinazione cromatica Oro metallizzato con interni in pelle e skai beige.

La ES sostituiva la ormai anziana coupé rimasta sul mercato per 10 anni, introducendo il segmento delle shooting brake: montava il collaudato motore tipo B20 a 4 cilindri con iniezione Bosch; quattro freni a disco con servofreno e cambio manuale con overdrive completavano l'equipaggiamento meccanico. La casa svedese è da sempre stata all'avanguardia nella sicurezza, montando cinture di sicurezza con pretensionatore, poggiatesta integrati e fari ad alta visibilità. L'ultimo proprietario ha installato un comodo servosterzo elettrico che facilita l'uso dell'auto in città ed in manovra.

Con 145.000 km percorsi, l'auto viene consegnata dopo essere stata tagliandata, in ottime condizioni sia interne che esterne. 

Presente il libretto verde a pagine, le targhe originali e la dotazione di primo equipaggiamento.

Difficile trovare un'auto simile, così unica e particolare in Italia: piacevole nell'uso quotidiano, adatta anche a lunghi viaggi.

 It's really hard to find cars like this in Italy: we are pleased to present this 1972 Volvo 1800 ES sold new to the first owner in Rome, city where the car lived until 2007, with few owners (the penultimate for over 20 years and the last for 11).

This model was produced just for 2 years and sold in Italy without an official importer (it would have opened just few years later) and the first owner ordered in the elegant color combination Gold Metallic with leather-leatherette beige interior.

​

The ES was the last restyling of the 10 years old P1800 Coupé which introduced the new sector of the "shooting brake": with the reliable B20 4 cyl. Bosch injection engine, four servo-assisted disc brakes and manual gearbox with overdrive it was a good option to German cars. The Swedish company has always been at the Avantgarde on safety devices: so this car mounts automatic seat-belts, integrated headrests and high visibility light. The last owner mounted the servo-assisted steering wheel which makes the car easier to drive into the traffic.

After 145.000 kms, the car has been serviced with body and interior in very good conditions: it has the original title, owner manual, license plates and the first equipment.

 

It is really had to find such a car in so original conditions: great both as a daily driver than for long distances.
